Bekas Menteri Penerangan, Tan Sri Zainuddin Maidin percaya, tsunami politik akan berlaku di Kelantan dengan menyaksikan Pas tumbang pada Pilihan Raya Umum Ke-13 (PRU-13).
Zainuddin berkata, jangkaan tersebut berdasarkan perubahan besar sedang berlaku di negeri ini termasuk membabitkan anak-anak muda dan golongan profesional Kelantan di perantauan yang kini semakin menyatakan sokongan secara terbuka kepada Barisan Nasional (BN).
Menurutnya, sepanjang berada di negeri ini, beliau telah menemui pelbagai golongan termasuk anak muda dan bukan Melayu yang secara tegas menyatakan keadaan di Kelantan sudah berubah dengan rata-rata masyarakat di sini inginkan BN memerintah untuk membawa kemajuan.
Selain itu katanya, penonjolan Menteri Perdagangan Antarabangsa dan Industri yang juga Pengerusi Badan Perhubungan UMNO Kelantan, Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed sebagai bakal Menteri Besar sekiranya BN memerintah, turut menarik keyakinan banyak pihak untuk melakukan perubahan tersebut.
Katanya, ramai percaya pelantikan Mustapa sebagai Menteri Besar kelak akan menyaksikan satu perubahan besar bakal berlaku di negeri ini secara drastik.
"Gelora perubahan sedang berlaku, bukan lagi 50:50 tetapi kerajaan Pas akan jatuh. BN mungkin dapat lebih 30 kerusi Dewan Undangan Negeri dan ini bererti kerajaan negeri akan tumbang," katanya.
